Bhajan Kutirs were made in Radhakund more than 500 years ago, to protect sadhus doing bhajan (spiritual practice), from the scorching sun and from the wild animals especially tigers.
Our Bhajan Kutir Ashram is in short an active combination of three main ideas:
1 - Practical service in the name of the ABC – Fellowship (see ABC page), the Sri Krsna Sudama Goshala (see Goshala page) and the Peacock and Tree Sanctuary (see news page). The ABC is a public charitable trust founded in the early 80’s. Goshala is a recent donation, today serving 75 cows
2 - Accommodate some sadhus doing bhajan on a daily basis including service of the Girigovardhana of the Ashram. This will create and develop the spiritual atmosphere.
3 - Full pension lodging of pilgrims who want to retreat to the ashram for some time and sharing its moods, mellows and activities.
The Goshala and the ashrama are beautifully situated close to the Radhakund – Vrindavan Road.
The practical maintenance of the Ashram and the Goshala is done by Shivdas, his wife Bibha and coworkers.
